Camera canon 500d not turning on with single battery but turns on with grip

Hi.

My 500d is not turning on with a single battery. But it works fine with a grip. I used a single battery like 2 or 3 days back.

Any ideas?

Stupid question but is the battery fully charged ?

Another stupid question, did you use the same battery with the grip ?

AFAIK it could be some contact issue with the battery/camera.[DOUBLEPOST=1385968404][/DOUBLEPOST]Last stupid question. Is your battery an original one or third party ?

The stupid answers.....I didn't put the battery cover. Now its fine....
