That's a decent deal and in accordance to the current prices. The tripod that the local dealer will be giving will be worthless anyways, so ask him to remove the tripod and reduce the price.
It's better to buy from India since Indian prices are as good as international, many times even better. Plus the main factor is that you will get 2 year warranty.

I won't be able to tell from where, but that's the lowest I could find in delhi and bombay..

i called them and they sent it to my house for cash on delivery. paid 34k for the 550d + 18-55lens + sd card + camera bag. 2 year warranty with bill.
