hi

i am 2014 pass out in cse and am very confused in which direction i should move.
i am interested in networking but poor in programming which stands as a barrier in getting a good job.
right now am doing ccna certification but don't know really how much scope do i have after doing it because there are so many students who are ccna certified and wandering here and there in search of a good job.
i am not interested in working for a tech support profile.

where i can see myself after ccna certification?
is this necessary to work in a tech support profile to start the career?
if i start working in tech support profile where i can see myself after 4-5years?

any other career options are also welcome.

thank you in advance

QA (product testing) is another option. Many companies do not expect their QA engineers to program.

You could still be doing tech support. Handling bigger clients, supporting more complex products. Trust me, supporting a large network (e.g. Reliance or Airtel) needs serious skills. I know some very senior people working in tech support. You can build a very good career in tech support.

Or you could branch of to sales/pre sales/network design if you have the skills and interest.

CCNA is base for your networking career. Start working from here, do CCNP certification. And then you can move on to do CCIE on voice or security. All depends on your interest.

Myself a CS Engg., working as a SQL Database Admin (comes under Infrastructure Management Services -IMS).

Don't worry on how many people have CCNA certs, if you like networking, move up the ladder with the above certs i mentioned, and you'll have a good profile, pay in the next 4-5 years.

Not sure if certifications help, but the last cert I gave was in 2011 - MCTS and ITIL. After that, I haven't given any. Yet, I have had oppurtunities to work in Singapore, USA. :)
