cheapest handset and mobile connection

We need one really cheap handset and a cheaper connection :p

All we want is a handset which can make and recieve calls and read and send messages.

And a very cheap connection.,.... CDMA/GSM..not really concerned abt that....

What do you guys suggest ?
 
See if the BSNL offered MotoFone is available in your area. The phone costs about 1.6K and the offer gives some Rs 150 per month free for the next 3 years.. not too sure about the details but some information can be found over here.

i just got a Nokia 1255 Reliance CDMA for a factory wrker ystday !!

Real neat phone.. looks classy for the price of 1700/- !!

Offers - 2000/- Free Talktime for 6 months Reliance - To - Reliance !!

Seems pretty good !!

So, we refers to my family as a whole...
