Hi Guys,
Will be a Civil engineering graduate in June
, and like others are concerned about their careers, so am i. I have already recieved an offer letter in a company through campus placement. The firm is specialises in Water Treatment Plants.
But now the crossroads arise, should i pursue Post-Grad or take up the job offered. Sooner or later, i have to do a PG course. I'm not interested in MBA as Civil + MBA i feel don't gel together, so i'll be quite happy in specialising a core sector of the civil area.
Although my dad's pressurising me to study abroad for PG, i ain't interested. Instead, after researching, i have come across NICMAR, Pune the premier institute in India specialises in PG courses for Civil, and also their recruitment boasts of some heavy giants, with a placement record of 98-99%. But i need a realistic picture about this.
Can i get some inputs from the members who are having first-hand experiences, or have heard it from their friends ?
The course if i opt for will be related to Real Estate & Urban Development (2 Years On Campus). Their flagship course is Advanced Construction Mgmt. I need to act fast cos admissions have now opened and will close soon. Also, i need to know whether admission process is tough and the chances of getting through ?
On the other hand, i feel that Water Treatment is an upcoming line, and should stick to job first and later go in for PG.
Pls guide me through ur invaluable suggestions.
TIA.
