3.You cannot log on to a Web site or complete an Internet transaction, or you receive an HTTP 500 (Internal Server Error) Web page
This problem may occur after you apply the 832894 security update or the 821814 hotfix on a computer that runs Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, Windows Millennium Edition, or Windows 98. The fix is to,you guessed it - get the update IE SP1 atleast - :p !

4.An HTML object that is embedded in Word or WordPad will not open if Internet Explorer is already open
heres the fix
• Close all instance of Internet Explorer that are currently open before you open the HTML document in Word or WordPad.
• Do not embed an HTML object in the Word file. Instead, use a hyperlink.

5."A Runtime Error has occurred" error message when you view Web pages in Internet Explorer after you install Office 2003
This behavior may occur after you install Office 2003, if the Web Debugging feature was selected for installation. If you select Web Debugging during the Office 2003 installation, the Disable script debugging check box in Internet Explorer is cleared. here's the fix :
- Tools ->click Internet Options->click Advanced.
- Click to select the Disable script debugging check box.
- Click to clear the Display a notification about every script error check box.click OK.

1.appy patches,updates
Install the latest version of Internet Explorer and preferrably Windows service packs and patches from windows updates.also enable Windows Automatic Updates.

2.Replace Microsoft Java VM with Sun Java.
You can download that from http://www.java.com/ as Sun's Java is more secure and more up to date.Explorer.Then in Java's options, check that Sun Java JRE is set to work with Internet

3.Apply security levels
Under Internet Options->Security Highlight the "Internet" icon and then click "Custom Level". Choose "Medium" from the drop-down box at the bottom, then click the "Reset" button. Click ok, then click "Custom Level" again.
