* Product Condition: Used, The colour round the trackpad has faded, No sound, i have tried getting it to run, but it seems its stopped workin.. rest of the laptop is fine.. the entire keypad was just changed , screen is perfect, works well. perfect download rig / dvdrw +160gb hdd both work fine.bag + charger + all accesories r available. any other info .. just pm me.

no idea man, havent checked with compaq on that, u can always add those cheap china usb soundcards .. they work fine and just as good as onboard ones. they come under 500 bux , rest of the laptop is in perfect running condition
 
those china usb soundcards are bad :( ...still one will have to use the laptop only with external speakers even after the usb snd card ( and that too crappy ones!)

why not get the motherboard repaired or replaced first and then sell it here..?
