Monitors Configuring of 26" LCD to PC ???

Hey guys I just took a SONY BRAVIA 26" for my bedroom !!!
I have attached my PC to it via RGB cable...it isnt looking upto the mark :(

Plz guide/help me out in configuring/selecting right set of cables for it....the LCD is having only RGB as PC input & 2HDMI slots....other inputs are common as in Component cable etc...I am having 8600GT 512Mb DDR2 Graphic Card which is having 3 outputs as in, DVI, RGB & Svideo....

I have searched on google but couldnt get any thing on it :(

Plz help !!!
 
The max resolution my TV accepts is 1360*768......I have done that...but the problem is in the background of the screen I can see the electricity/current flowing...so i just wanted to know if i have used the right cable or not ???
 
huh , how do u mean electricity , is it banding you see , cuz ideally LCD's shouldnt have banding issues . ????
and i use a 32 inch Bravia for a monitor , same resolution and it looks positively sexy .

Which cables are u using ???
 
might be a refresh rate issue. see if ur refresh rate is set correctly at 60hz. i know some brands of lcd TVs prefer uncommon refresh rates like 59hz, 50hz.

another way is to ditch the rgb/vga, and go digital using a DVI-to-HDMI cable.
 
@burnz..do u know where can u get it.....I am not gtg it in borivali (mumbai).

U have any idea about the cost of it??? plz help guyz....

I purchased SONY BRAVIA KLV-26V300A i.e. 26" LCD TV.
Price - 39,990/- from Anywhere in INDIA...I took it from Vijay Sales..with bill & warranty !!!

Arrey i wont get High Resolution via Component cables....hence i am looking for DVI - HDMI cables....damn ebay.com(US) doesnt recognize my card since its from India.....

You can get 720p via component. No problem at all. :) Not sure about 1366x768.

lol. component cables have enough bandwidth for 720p
