Connect Sony PS3 wireless remote controller with Smart TV (Android TV) ?

Is it possible to connect PS3 wireless controller with Smart TV (brand ONIDA) some way ?
There are youtube videos but, it requires new configuration for every game, while some say its doable..

If anyone tried and worked please guide..

I think if you wanna connect it wireless then you probably have to root it , or use wires if you don't wanna go through all that hassle

Can you please guide to articles, I read lot of articles and followed youtube videos but did not work.
I think rooting TV wont be a good idea ?

Personally I haven't tried rooting a TV before , but it should be the same as rooting most android devices , I guess you could look up your TV model to check if its been done before , and as for the guides just a simple google will land on you on a ton of videos
