Hi guys,
I recently bought a Philips 43" LED TV. Despite it eing a very new model (43PUT7690), the connection options are very limited (there is no HDMI-ARC). And I could not get it connected to my HK soundbar.
Thing is, the TV unit has only below output ports:
1. Coaxial out
2. Audio out
And the soundbar has below input options:
1. Optical
2. Aux input (3.5 mm jack, I guess)
The cables that came bundled with the soundbar are:
1. optical digital audio cable
2. stereo audio cable (3.5 mm to RCA)
So now what are my options to hear TV audio on the soundbar?
After some googling, I think, I need to go with either of the below options:
1. Digital (coaxial) to Analog RCA Audio converter + a Coaxial cable. For example, Link1 Link2 Link3
OR
2. Coaxial to Optical Toslink Audio Converter + a Coaxial cable. For example: Link1
Need suggestions please. Have I understood it wrong?
Thanks
