CPU/Mobo Conroe release?

hi

i am planning to buy a new rig next month.

what is this conroe buzz going around in the forum.

should i wait for it ( when is it getting released ? )

or go for AMD dual core

i can wait a bit longer if the upgrade is good enough

If you have a PC to pull you through 6 months, I'd recommend you wait for Conroe... I've delayed my 2006 upgrade for the same reason.

i have a pc

but it is based on P4 2.4 ghz and 6600 gt, not suffecient performance for new games.

what will be the expected price range of conroe processor. if it will be below 20k i am willing to wait.
 
As it is it will be there.. but I think its still too early to say how Indian pricing is going to be. Better wait it out... there will be new Boards and RAM (DDR2-1066 already out) to go with it... and at launch it may cost a bomb.
 
^^Yea harshal's right, on launch it will cost a bomb, and it the processors will be a bit higher than the US prices, and higher end will be considerably higher. DDR-2 667 and above will be expensive to start off with and so will the 975 series mobos.
