Control Panel crashes sometimes in Windows 7

Hi,

I have this weird problem where when I open Control Panel it crashes the first time. I looked up on the web, and found out that it is a compatibility issue with dell WLAN utility. Uninstalled the WLAN to find that I could not get it working again. Tried to patch the computer with some security patch mircosoft had issued for the problem, but the problem remains.

Specs: Dell 15 R (n1510)

OS: Windows 7 home premium

Can any of you help me out with this?

Dear Malik,

Is there anything that you have tried? Before asking you to do anything too geeky I would like to check if you have tried playing with the software licensing service. If you have not, please try this.

Click start

Search for Services

Double click on Services

Find

Software licensing

Make sure it is running

If not stop and start it again

See if this can solve your issue. Hope it does. All the best!
