My cool n Quite feature doesnt seem to be working for me. I have 3000+ Venice on Asus A8N-E. I have the cool n Quiet option enabled in my bios & installed the Asus cool n Quiet software & set my power setings to minimal Power management-- i also tried installing the CPU driver from AMD but still when i run my Asus cool n Quiet application it always reports me 1800 mhz which is the Fullest for my 3000+

Any Clues ?

i think you need to install AMD cool n quiet drivers for that.
I have never used it so i may be wrong.
Also if you have overclocked you CPU it may not work.

You don't need anyCnQ s/w. Remove it.
All you need is - CPU drivers + minimal power management. (and BIOS support)
Just press win+Pause and check whether the speed in Mhz is lower than expected, most other s/w does not show it correctly.

yeah i figured out that u need to enable ACPI 2.0 Support in the BIOS which is mentioned at Asus's Site as well but strangely my bios 1001 on A8N-E doesnt have that ACPI 2.0 feild under the Power menu. I guess thats the Lack Point. I;'ll need a New bios -- which im too Afraid to do at the moment

hey c'on man its too easy ..... just download the bios and use the ASUS utility ....... its damn easy .... but make sure ur comp doesn't restart in between the process or u r screwed .....
