Hello guys,

I have a Athlon II X3 435 lying with me , and I have decided to buy this mobo -
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Motherboard
(http://www.snapdeal.com/product/gigabyte-ga78lmtusb3-motherboard/1177337#Technical Specifications )

And Corsair Vengence Rated at 1600 mhz.

My query is that I saw in the review of Athlon II X3 435 "" Like all of AMD's recent processors, the Athlon II X3 435 has an on-board 128-bit wide memory controller that can communicate with dual channel DDR2 or DDR3 system memory at speeds of DDR2-1066 or DDR3-1333 ""

Since i was getting the 1600 Corsair DDR3 Ram , I wondering if it will work with the processor or will it not fuction ? Could any one with knowledge on this reply.

I finally found the solution to this. In case any one else wants to know, the memory controller on Athlon II X3 435 can take upto 1333 Mhz Ram. anything about that would only make the system unstable just like any overclocking scenario but there is a chance it will work.

Memory's SPD is programmed for lower speeds as well. So your 1600MHz memory will automatically negotiate lower 1333MHz speeds with the mem controller and run fine.
