Corsair 650W help??
Guys i am planning to buy a corsair 650W PSU from USA (via my brother)...

But the electricity standards of US differ from that of India as u know, so, will it work on Indian supply (220V and hertz)....???
And do u guys have an idea what will be the approximate weight of this PSU as he has to luggage it.........

All PSus work from 110V to 220V so there would not be a problem

But the main problem is in the warranty.

As these items have 5-7 years warranty, you will lose out on the warranty & peace of mind if you get from USA as Indian RMA agency will not honour the USA warranty.

You will have to end it to USA to claim the same, which is not practical unless you have someone travelling very frequently.

It is better to buy locally, as the price difference between Indian Prices & newegg have come own drastically.

The exact weight will depend on the model you choose but will be around 3-3.5kgs

thanx shravank30 for the gud answer.......

the problem is not with warranty....and regarding the prices, the difference is really huge.....check the indian and newegg prices.....

yeah the prices differ. but if it breaks down sending it to US will be expensive. that coupled with the base cost the total cost will be equal or many times more to the one in India at present. imagine if u get a defective piece?

I have seen that minimum shipping charges are in the 1.5k range....

which model are you talking about?

dude i meant when u need to ship back for RMA. then the shipping cost will be in excess of 1.5k(due to its weight) and that is minimum with no insurance!!

and 650w is almost same here around 1k more
