These RAM's are rated at 1600MHz right?

Has anyone who purchased these Rams and got these working stable at 1600mhz specially on Gigabyte motherboards?

If yes which motherboard you have used?

Asking since most Gigabyte motherboards have 1.5v ram sockets and the SPD rating of these RAM's are also 1.5v. At these settings this RAM will run at 133mhz and not 1600mhz.

So what manual settings are required to run these ram stable at 1600mhz. Tried corsair support forums and read somewhere that manually setting DRAM voltages to 1.65 volts solves this problem, but just wanted to be sure if some one has first hand experience in this.

Yes these RAMS are rated at 1600Mhz.
I have these RAMS and are using them with a Gigabyte board and yes they are working perfectly well (after a few tweaks) even at 1800Mhz and 8-9-8-24T :D
My motherboard is Gigabyte 880GM-UD2H.

Don't worry about that. The RAM is rated at 1.5v but for XMP (for Intel processors) it is 1.65v. I'm pretty sure my kit is running at 1.5v right now.

You memory multiplier is probably detecting wrong like my board at first (read below) hence it is working at 1333Mhz. Raising it to 6.66x should get them to immediately start working at 1600Mhz. Also leave the timings on AUTO for the time being.

When I first started my motherboard the timings and memory clock were wrong. It was reading the RAM as 1333Mhz with some wrong timings. I just raised the multiplier to x6.6 and set the RAM timings to 9-9-9-24T (you can further tighten it to 8-9-8-24T) and I was good to go.

Side note -
My motherboard manual recommends trying the DIMM_3 and DIMM_4 slot if the RAM freq is above 1700Mhz - 1800Mhz for better stability. Ofcourse you shouldn't reach that frequency unless you OC your processor; it also depends on the motherboard you are using.

Thanks for the reply.

Your motherboard is same as mine and it is correctly detecting the RAM frequency at 1333Mhz as the SPD rating of this RAM stick is 1333Mhz. But the tested ratings of this RAM is 1600Mhz so we can run it safely at 1600 Mhz by the tweak suggested by you.

I welcome to be corrected.

Yes as I said above, put the memory clock to 6.66x and it should run perfectly at 1600Mhz ... even 1800Mhz with overclocking.

Btw update your BIOS via @BIOS software utility. You can download that from the net or get it from your Gigabyte Software Utility Disc.

I have the latest Bios installed. ( Flashed day one for SLIC :D )

OT @ bigbyte: You have the SLIC mod on BIOS version F5 or F3? The latest is F5 if I am not mistaken. Asking as the same motherboard is on its way to me. :D
