PC Peripherals CosmicByte Mech Keyboard problem with Mac

So I bought a Cosmic Byte GK11 mech keyboard and for some reason, the RGB lights do not work with my Mac. I have tried it on 2 Macs and on both USB 2 and 3 ports but no go.

The keyboard works fine on windows though. Has anyone faced such problem before?

The problem is not uncommon. I have had RGB keyboards refusing to turn on when connected to Macs. But the problem is intermittent. From what I have experienced, the problem is more with slightly older desktops and less so with the laptops. The comment is purely anecdotal.

Sometimes, remapping the keys helps alleviate the problem.
