Monitors CPU/Monitor/GPU Queries - New 45K PC Config.

I am getting myself a mid-range gaming PC with good overclocking potential. I have finalized most of the components except for a few ones for which I would like suggestions/advice of my fellow techie members.

My rig specification is:

Processor : Intel Pentium Core2Duo E7200 Rs.5400
M/B : ? Rs.4500 max.
RAM : Transcend 2x2GB 800MHz DDR2 RAM Rs.3200
GPU : ? Rs.6500 max.
HDD : Seagate 7200.11 500GB ST3500320AS SATA II 16MB Rs.2900
Optcal Drive : Samsung SH-223F SATA Rs.1200
Cabinet : CoolerMaster Elite 333 ATX Rs.1700
SMPS : CoolerMaster XtremePowerPlus 460W RS-460-PCAR-A3 Rs.2400
Monitor : ? around Rs.12000
Speakers : Creative A300 2.1 Rs.1300
Keyboard : Logitech Multimedia Rs.500
Mouse : Logitech MX310 or Logitech Optical Rs.400
Internal Memory Card reader : Any brand Rs.400
Headphone : Intex Rs.200
OS Vista Ultimate x64 N.A.

Total Rs.42600
Please advise if the prices mentioned are correct for Mumbai.

My queries are:

1. Is there any specific stepping/batch no. for E7200 that has proved to be a good overclocker? How would I identify it from the sealed box?

2. I have shortlisted the following motherboards.
Biostar TP35D2-A7 Rs.4500 Availabity is a suspect.
Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L Rs.3850
Gigabyte GA-TP35-S3G
I am looking for a motherboard with good overclocking capability.
How is the Gigabyte EP35 board compared to Biostar TP35?

3. I am interested in a 22" monitor. My budget is Rs.12000. However there doesn't seem to be any good 22" monitors available in the 12000 price range. I have shortlisted the following monitors:

Samsung 226BW Difficult to get. Panel quality isssue? Price?
LG 226WTQ Difficult to get. Price? Probably would stretch the budget a bit.
Viewsonic VX2235 WM-5 Good monitor, easily available within 12000.

How would you rate these three monitors (starting with the best) and what are their current prices and availability status?
Please feel free to add any other monitors you feel would be a good buy within the price mentioned.

4. I would like to get a mid-range GPU within Rs.6500. I reckon a 9600GT would be the best card at this price. Which make should I go for and what is the expected price?
Would this be enough or is a 8800GT/9800GT card required for handling graphics on the 22" monitor? If so please let me know of the lowest range 8800GT/9800GT card available.
Please add in any other suggestion for the cards. A 4850 would be out of the budget.

5. Would CoolerMaster xTreme Power Plus 460W be able to handle the system power requirements with OC?
I would like to assemble this rig as soon as possible. Looking forward for your suggestions.

Thanks

well for the mobo u can go for a msi p45 neo or Gigabyte ep35 ds3l for 6.5k u ll get the 4670 or the 9600gt.(Palit or saphhire or evga) as u said 4850 out of budget..But u can get the 8800gt from KMD mit come to 6.8k odd...Monitor i woudl suggest dell ultrasharp..:)

for the batch am nt sure but it htink th ebatch is sl9 something ...confirm it.. and woudl suggest u 2 go for a 500W vip PSu or a vx450 if budget is nt a prob

Well I would like to know if its worth going in for a Biostar TP35 over a Gigabyte GA-EP35.

If I am not wrong 9600GT is better than 4670.

I might go in for 8800GT/9800GT if the performance difference between them and 9600GT is substantial enough to justify the costs. Could you please provide links for 8800GT/9800GT cards from newegg. It makes sense to source them from KMD only if it costs substantially less than what it costs locally.

Dell Ultrasharp is way out of my budget of Rs.12000. Saw a Dell T220 at Croma. It was a nice monitor but was priced at a steep Rs.16000. Please suggest some other monitors.

A VX450 would further set me back by Rs.1200. So would get it only if CM 460W proves to be insufficient.

Would appreciate more suggestions as going to get my rig in a day or two.

Tp35 is a nice buy man ,but it doesn't have full solid capacitors and I think its has 4 phase power, one advantage is TP35 is based on P43 so it's definitely better. But gigabyte wala ie EP35 DS3l has 6 phase power, full solid capacitors. Definitely reliable i hav a a gigabyte one from 5 yrs and got a new board which is also of gigabyte ep31 ds3l though..:) So gigabyte for me ...9600GT is better than 4670. (after some googling)
Check teh link for 8800gt PNY wala bt i don know much abt pny:ashamed: this one cheapest i coudl find..the next one is nice....
Newegg.com - PNY VCG88512GXEB-FLB GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N975-AR GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Dell 22 " SP2208WFP or a L.G. L226WTQ or a 19" one like Dell SE198WFP not sure on prices...do check in lammy...:)

for a 9800gt cm460w mit be just be bit less.. so a vip 500W or a vx450w woudl be nice and u cold go for a 19" dell wit vx450W

Edit:dint search much in newegg ll do it tom... damn sleepy....

LG 22" s for 12K .............................

see what i say .........

get 19" monitor instead of 22" will come for 9K

so u have 3k extra for going for mobo +GPU

mobo ABIT IP35-E 5.3K ..................good mobo .........they are gonna stop production but will be giving all service so no problem .
so u have 6.5 + 2.7= 9.2 for GPU

get 4850 in that ................

also no need for 4GB RAM as of now ........get 2GB o it so u have 1.6K extra .
ur gonna buy CM 460W 2.4K .....not good PSU
so u have 2.4+1.6= 4k
get CORSAIR 450VX 3.3K .............very good PSU
remaining are 600 bucks

off cource u can buy now
ABIT IP35-E + ............good OVERCLOCKER
4850 .........BEST VFM car
CORSAIR 450VX .........will be enough for ur rig with OVERCLOCKING

cost is
just to settle down on 19" MONITOR & 2GB RAM .
u can add RAM anytime later ...........but PSU ,MOBO ,GPU will not be that handy to upgrade :p
