Slightly on the up side. But could be a sensor or application issue since you have a -42C in there.

Cross check with RealTEMP and CoreTEMP. Let us know.

Yeah clean the surface of the processor and heatsink interface using ethyl alcohol or even just alcohol will do after removing the old TIM residue apply a small almost drop sized amount and spread it evenly ( the whole aim is not to smother the CPU with TIM but give an extremely thin conductive interface between heatsink and processor ) :), this should bring tempratures if not post again :)

~ if using a metallic TIM material use even lesser quantity than ceramic TIM and make sure it doesn't fall onto the motherboard or comes into contact with the processor and the board at the same time other-WISE :ashamed: < FIREWORKS > and parents :@

I have used dow corning TIM, dont know whether it is metallic or ceramic but does the job. Applied on the phenom x2 550be proccy coupled with my m3n78em mobo... Just Rs.50 but i dont know how reliable it would be in the long run since i have been using this setup only for 1.5 yrs...

Go to any decent PC-retailer around where you live, get the Cooler Master standard TIM paste ~ 200 Rs. no more, no less, hope this helps :)

just borrowed silicone based TIM frm friend and applied it.. .

min temp :- 45 C

max temp : - 63 C at full load...

thanx guys for ur suggestions..
