Hi, I know this sounds inappropriate..How can I request an admin to remove the limit on no of pm's sent per day..Because I had sent 4 pm's one day back..Today it is still showing the same message.Is this some kinda bug in TE??

it's not a bug. it's an limitation for new member.
when u will complete 35posts the limitation will be removed.

yep, as Quad said, its there for a reason and the reason have been mentioned many times in this forum. Its not possible for us to remove the restriction. If we decide otherwise in future, we'll let you know.

As of now, you can edit your post within 10 minutes frm posting. Thats enough time to correct any typos or add any new information.

This is not a bug. There is a daily limit of 5 PMs for new members.

This was done intentionally since we were having issues with spam bots flooding members' PM boxes.
 
Hi mods,

Why is there a PM limit to newer member like me??:( :( When will it be removed?? How many PMs can i don in a day??? All questions apart, There is a problem i am facing. If ther eis a PM limit then it would be for a day,i presume. So yesterday at 11PM the site asnt allowing me to pm anyone coz i have exceeded the limit. Now a day is over. Its 10th may not 9th may, thus technically i should be able to PM others now. But the site still displayes this msg "You have exceeded the maximum number of private messages per day. This limit is removed after you become an established community member. Please contact an administrator if you feel this is in error." :huh: :huh: :huh: Please solve this problem ASAP. As i have recieved a reply from a member at TE who has presented me with a very very good deal and i dont wanna miss out on that one. I am not able to reply to him bout the deal.. Plzz Do some thing.

PS: I had to create this thread as i am not able to PM any moderator too bout this problem,thus close this thread after you have solved my problem.

even m facing a similar problem mods..... and its really bad as i was in middle of finalizin a deal.....please remove this limit....
 
in light of this thread , Is the info regarding the various membership levels and the privileges available anywhere in the rules/ announcements section?

Should make it easier for newbies to figure out.

And probably change the highlighted bit
