how to find whether a RAM is DDR1 or DDR2..???
i got a SAMSUNG 512MB RAM with the following number on it...
M378T6553BG0-CD5.
can u plzz find out and tell me whether this one is DDR1 or DDR2..

And in case you do not have the RAM IC part number to verify in future, couple of other signs you could look out for to distinguish the two :
- DDR1 sticks have 184 pins (i.e. the gold contacts at the base of the RAM module)
DDR2 sticks have 240 pins (good luck counting
hyeah: )
- DDR2 sticks almost always have square BGA type IC's, while DDR1 sticks have the rectangular TSOP type IC's (however this isnt exactly foolproof)
