Well, first of all it's not a personal attack on Amarbir but a lament against how he conducts the business. Because the experience the I had in dealing with him is so unique that I decided to put it here as I believe many will benefit from it:
The deal
* I was interested in Amarbir's PL-11 deal. So I contacted him, got his response and he told me how to place the order and pay the money. I wanted to place order by TE only but he said placing an order on Lynx is a necessary step. I said fine... the order was placed on October 23 and modified by Amarbir on the same day

What happened afterward
On October 29, I called up Amarbir's shop where one Baljeet confirmed that DD has been received. I also called up Amarbir, and he said the product will be shipped in a day and most likely I will get it before Sunday.
But then I suppose, this tragic incident involving Amarbir's brother happened and he apparently got busy with the family matters. I got to know about it when I called Amarbir on Sunday or Monday, (i don't exactly remember).
Amarbir told me he was very busy owing to unforeseen circumstances but "now he is again taking care of TE orders". So I told him about my order...
This man works in funny ways. In the last four days I made numerous calls, wrote in PL-11 deal threads and even SMSed him but most of the time either he was not on net (when he picked phone) and never cared to reply to my queries in PL-11 thread.
Finally, last night he told me the product will be shipped today (Nov 6). I told him that I understand in what kind of situation he is, and he can have more time to clear the order. The only thing I wanted was clarity and some exact time-frame by which I will get the product. He assured me that it will definitely be shipped on Nov 6.
That, of course, did not happen. I called him up 15 minutes ago and the drill was same. Tell me your order id, he asked. I told him that but by this time I was low on patience. I told him that he should have stuck to his words, the promise that he made last evening. He said if I can't understand his situation he wont sell me the product.
Finally, he decided to cancel my order because I was fed up with his stupid antics and unkempt promises. He has promised that I will get the money back... (I hope you don't delay it the way you delayed this deal, Mr Amarbir).
Now the key points:
* Mr Amarbir, money or a PL-11 is not everything. If you ask me, you can keep the money. And I am sure that loss of Rs 585 is something with which even you can live. What is important is how you were able to spoil a friendship even before it started.
* Second, I am sure you have gone through a lot in the last week, but how do you know that I have not gone through something similar or even worse? I know you are very busy, but how do you know that I am not that busy? Just because I am not telling you something, doesn't mean that it's not there.
And honestly, I don't like it when people try and use tragedies for some kind excuses or shields. I started asking you about my order when you told me that you are back in your shop and looking after the back orders... once you are back to doing business, why keep repeating that you have gone through this and that.
* Three, Mr Ambarbir, when you promise something, try and keep it. Don't treat promises as something which you give to people when you want them off your back. You know what, going through the experience in dealing with you is pretty humiliating sometimes. You just don't respond and many a times you just don't keep promises... hell, take your time. Take ten days... but inform the customer. And I am not saying you should call people to inform them about any changes, just tell them about it when they call you.
* last, change your attitude. Just because I told you that you should have shipped my order today, you told me that you are refunding me my money... chose your words carefully. Can you refund me the time that I spent and efforts that I made while dealing with you?
Also, don't give this shit to people about buyer and seller thing... You told me it's the right of a seller to sell a product... well you are certainly right, but you know when you have received the payment, you also have responsibility. If you did not want me to buy the product, you could have said in the beginning itself.
Parting words: You can be very well be sure that I am not going to deal with you in future. But I sincerely hope you do mend the way you do conduct the business. It will do lot of good to many people here TE as well as to you.
