Market Feedback Dealer Section suggestion

there has been a lot of activity in the dealers section with so many deals from so many dealers resulting in so many threads...i totally get lost while searching for items/threads...so can we simplify the section...

1. first of all instead of threads for each deal why not have a single page per dealer where he can advertise and track all his deals.
2. the page can contain an area/table whr the dealer puts up the item, short description or a link to official spec page and the price he is offering...this can be sorted by the latest update on the top...this wud basically be his pricelist
3. another area/table where the dealer can put up the ids of ppl who hav ordered an item and the status of the transaction (payment awaited/ payment made/ shipment done etc)..this wud be his customer list
4. this way the dealer can easily update his pricelist as well as track the transactions with customers.

advantages:
1. no more digging thru threads...for both dealer and customer
2. easier to manage by the dealer as thr is only one page to monitor...
3. 2 wud result in faster response from a dealer...basically a lot of time saved for both sides..

disadvantages:
1. if a dealer has lot of items...it will get lengthy...a bit too lengthy in some cases...but isnt it better than going thru a hell lot of threads?
2. this will look more like a dealer website...somewht agreed...but a dealer can only put up his pricelist and not other ads, images etc..

i just put it vaguely...discussions/suggestions/criticism are welcome..

my suggestion

Let each dealer have one sticky thread which can be used for keeping their regular deals and use a different thread for anything new/special offer/etc.

This might reduce the unnecessary bumping of threads and also give an incentive to the dealer to keep his sticky-post organized as it will get the most hits.

Dealers should be able to choose which of their posts should be stickied and there should be a minimum time period between sticky-change requests.

The current system does not need to be changed much to accomodate this.

Please try to add a link to the product's information page on the manufacturer's site.

If possible, maintain a single page/link on your website where all your product pricing is available. It can be done using locked online spreadsheets or in many other ways.
something like deltapage.com or the earlier version of theitwares.com. updating the page to reflect your current prices is very important though.
