PC Peripherals Decent internal TV tuner

I saw this mercury TV tuner internal for a 1000 bucks. How good is it ? anyone around using it ? Was thinking of going for an internal Tv tuner.

i have seen it perform,

whatever you buy, make sure its compatible with dscaler. I'd suggest pixelview play tv pro its about the same price i think. Almost always the s/w bundled with the tv tuner sucks. If you want to see tv with good picture quality then using dscaler.

Pixelview play TV pro is a pretty expensive card. Around 3k. I want something under 1.5.

I paid about 2300 for mine and that like an year and half back [pixelview playtv pro bt878].

Go for it best video quality AFAIK , with 3rd party softwares like ChrisTV & IUVcr you can capture video in Divx/Xvid + MP3 in AVI

well since this is a TV Tuner thread i mite as well ask my ques
Is a Internal TV Tuner Dangerous especially due to the rainy season?
i remember reading in some magazine tht it can fry ur pc?
i might be completely wrong but thought ill confirm.......

Well the same thing applies to ur TV Set also ur TV might also get fried up.
But i have hardly heard of anything of this sort happen.
This also depends a lot on how properly the earthin is in ur house.
