Hi Guyz ,

Well I Think this feature is very important ! Whenever a members post is deleted by Mods for whatever Reason there should be a PM sent to that member so as to why His post was deleted ! Or Better there should be a deleted posts section in the user cp, so that the member can see which of his posts were deleted and why !

Now The advantage of this system is that it would help in making Realize the member that he is spamming or what he did was not Right so that such mistakes are not Repeted in Future !

Infact I Think there should also be a section in the user cp in which all the warnings that the user got from the mods should be Listed !

I Think this will help in controlling spam ! what say Guyz ? :)
 
No.... there will be simply too many posts being deleted per day and it will be a huuuuuge task for the mods to PM the user each and every time....

And the feature you mentioned.... useless.... you already know not to post OT stuff in the tech sections... so why the heck would you spam again?? Only if you spam your posts get deleted.... so dont spam.... simple :P
 
well The Admin can make a new section in the user cp ! Believe me its going to be very helpfull , speacially to the new members !
 
yup .. i weigh ur suggestion ...

2-3 posts of mine simply vanished.. and i went crazy lookin for em and configurin whom to ask ..

prolly another section can be made and can be updated at the end of the day ..

Wot say Mods.??

 
Keeping in mind the number of users and the number of spam posts/threads we have to edit/delete, its pretty hard for us to send a PM to all the members whose posts are edited or deleted.
However, if the member is new, we do make it a point even to notify if a post is deleted/modified or the thread is moved or the thread title is changed.

If any of you have a doubt about your posts, please PM a Super Mod with a link to the thread you posted in to know why your post was deleted.

About the usercp idea, lets see what we can do. Its pretty hard to do what you have asked, but lets see if we can have someother temporary solution for the same.

automatic pms will henceforth be sent for the following options.

pms are sent when

threads are deleted

they are undeleted

they are moved

posts are deleted

posts are moved..

The PM's are automatic. do not reply to them if you have doubt ask a mod or supermod.
