Android Deleting user files on a phone with a PC

This is a noob question from someone (me) who seldom uses a mobile phone and knows little beyond occasionally making and receiving calls.

I know how to connect a phone to a PC and transfer files between them via USB. If I delete user files like photos and videos (not system files) on the phone from my Windows computer, is there a possibility of messing up the phone's file management? The phone runs on Android 7.0.

No never ..you deleting just some pictures and videos , that is not part of the Android environment .
