Hi all....I have been reading all the threads relating to the sheer class of Dell XPS Lappies...
I am also thinking in for Dell only....But I wanted to know that Is Dell Inspiron a better buy for the money as compared to XPS as Inspiron is cheaper...
Have not seen the two machines myself...But I believe that the XPS is lighter and has much better looks & design....Is that true?...

xps use premium components and will last longer ,look better perform better etc n come at a premium too

get inspiron only if on a tight budget n ready for a good amount of failure

For higher-end systems, the XPS is actually cheaper. For example, go to the Dell site, and configure two systems: an Inspiron 1520 with a T8300, GeForce 8600M GT, 4 GB of memory, 320 GB hard drive, etc.; and an XPS M1530 with a similar configuration. You will see that the XPS becomes significantly cheaper.

But the starting price of XPS systems is higher than Inspiron systems. For lower-end systems, the Inspiron would be cheaper.

Short answer: Yes.

But beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder; looks & design perception may vary from person to person. Also, the Inspiron, at least in India, offers more color options.

Hey thanks bros ..also does Dell offer international warranty...?Like If buy it from US then will the warranty be valid in India
Also which brings me to the question that is it worthwhile buying it from US or getting it here from India only....
