Is getting a Dell laptop from US a good Idea. Whats the price difference ?? Also if anyone has done so then plz suggest any model. Also i would like that the cost of lappy in INR does not exceed Rs. 25K.
Also id it true that a lappy that may cost say Rs. 40K in INR may cost 25K types in USD. I am not sure and hence asking.

1 GB RAM vs 2 GB RAM

Combo Drive vs DVD writer

80 GB vs 160 GB HDD

and also i dont think dell provides intl' warranty

NO not a good idea ...price difference is negligible

Dell Inspiron 1525 FOR SAME CONFIG

US Price: price is $1300 including all

India Price: Rs.50,526 /- including all
 
Dell lappy......buy from india......even in uk also u will not get huge price diff

Apple products(Computer related) has huge price difference comparing with ind price...others dont ..........

errr...before posting, did you bother reading the configs given in the thread above? with various discount coupons etc applied at the US dell site, the price comes way down compared to the initial price. n its a very good deal :D

in case ur in doubt, read the posts before urs :)

n get from US if you can, better then the UK prices :)

@bvaghasia: open that attachment n check out the prices :) 599$ for a 40k indian config :)
