I had bought this item sometime back from a FM with the intent of using it with my Mac mini, however I couldn’t get it to work because the tb16 needed a firmware upgrade and I didn’t have the hardware to upgrade it. Hence has been lying in storage since. I’m looking to let this go for 4k. Would advise anybody looking to get this to do your due diligence regarding compatibility. An FM was kind enough to try and upgrade the FW using his laptop but because of paucity of time, didn’t manage it.
