Storage Solutions desktop hdd suggestions 1tb - wd green / wd blue ?

hello need to but a hdd. m confused with wd green or blue ..or is seagate better ?
wd offers onsite warranty ?
need to buy it on urgent basis

WD Caviar Blue 1TB -4500.

Green has high rate of failure so blue or black is better but black is costly so go with blue.OK.

It depends on the purpose of your usage, If you are looking for normal daily usage I'd recommend WD Blue as well. But if you just want to store the data, then I'd suggest to go for WD Green. Here's the link below for comparison.

Whoa,i keep hearing about it on the forums but never seen one anywhere.
Do keep us updated with it's performance after a few months,specs and price seem to be good.

Purple is for 24x7 dumping data IINM. (Surveillance Storage)

Blue works fine for me. Seagate no-no for me. 2 hard drive failures.
