I'm looking to buy a new STACKER as I'm selling my old one off cheap to a friend in need.

Now I have the original RC830 bought from RiO.

I want to know if the newer STACKER RC830s are as well built and use the same aluminium sheet as the original which was built like a tank. Is their any skimping on material?

Also what is the difference between the RC830, RC830 Evo, RC832 and RC830 NVIDIA edition in terms of build quality and the insides?

Can someone who has seen or used the newer ones and the original comment?

I differences between those models are mostly cosmetic like Different color, different type of front door and side panel design etc.

why not buy ATCS 840?

I am considering that as well. My only issue with the STACKER is the venting on the sides and and the top interferes with front -> rear airflow and is a ****ing dust magnet, meaning I have to clean my cabinet every month, which is absolutely detest *cough*

That is the only reason I was considering the ATCS 840, it's built well, but looks a little plain.

OK I want a list of the best cabinets available in the market right now for a budget of Rs. 15,000.

I already have the RC 832 (STACKER) and ATCS 840 on my list.

Cosmos S is a POS - please disconsider, because I will.

C'mon guys suggestions...

I find the atcs slightly flimsy but I guess that was to keep the weight down.

It's flimsy uh? I'd never have figured, damn, I'll have to preview a piece before I buy. the STACKER is built like a tank and I want another tank-like cabinet.

Udit thanks, also on my lust err list now...

OT - pics of the HDD you guys selected for me posted. Help me select a cabby and I promise more eye candy!

Remember I want a solidly built, super cooler of a cabinet. Cheap shite need not apply. Aluminium preferred for Mumbai's climates and general longevity :)

Its true that its built like a tank, but personally, I regretted getting a Stacker 830 Evo.

Stacker 830 is too crampy to work with. If not for the removable mobo tray, the the aluminum design and the fact that I was able to install 8 x 120mm (not couting the 2 on the TRUE 120), it was a total disaster for me.

The Corsair HX1000 is longer than a typical PSU and after I installed it, it was very difficult to plug in modular PSU cables in this Cabby. I had to remove a side panel fan to fit my TRUE 120 and add to that my 4850 Crossfire and 5 HDD and I have very litte room to work inside even if its for something trivial.

If you have too many components, I would suggest that you go with some other cabby like may be the Antec 1200.

Yeah my wavie was really solid too. The atcs has wafer thin side panels but I read that the HAF has the same too and it was because of the size and the smaller version had sturdier panels
But am only worried about the plastic clips holding up the front panel cover .We all know how sturdy plastic is :P Wish everyone stuck to the good old screw to fasten things :(

Since I'm undecided about an AC in my hall as well, I need something with washable dust filters on every inlet else I'm screwed. Damn, you guys are supposed to make this easier, not harder lol, I guess a lot of research is in order. I love the STACKERs build and outer shape, but yes, it can get cramped and yes, dust is an issue.

Ooh I love removable MB trays!

PS: I thought NZXT was a crap brand, say it ain't so...

^^Gannu didn't read your reply. The ATCS is fully aluminium? How'd it's build compare to the STACKER?

Lord Nemesis has already put up his experience on the Stacker 832. I do still remember a whole thread dedicated to his buy before. :P

I'd seen the Stacker 830 at Chaos's place and apart from the facelift there's no difference between this and the 832 except for the all blacks, slightly different front door and the wheels. Lol is someone going to move the stacker all the time? I for one honestly dont find the wheels appealing!

I haven't seen the ATCS in person yet so going by all the hear-say it is essentially a Stacker 830/832/whatever + more room + bottom-mounted PSU + no fan mounts on the side + no front door + 140mmx2 fans for the top + a 230mm fan for the front + a dedicated cooling for the Gfx cards at the back + a plethora of holes for cable management. That's all I recollect.

ATCS is a good buy. A stacker to another one's going to be boring. :P
