PC Peripherals different mem makes

hi can we use mem modules of different makes (i have a hynix 512mb 400mhz planning to add one more so can i go in for a transcend one or have to use a hynix one) thank u
 
Well if you want to use it in Dual channel mode its better to have the same
speed , make Ram.

So it wud be better if wud go in for the Hynix one , and Hynix is good
