Hi Guys,

I am very very confused as to which camera should i buy..

Basically my reqs are :-

1) >=12 MP

2) Good Battery life with Li batteries(No AA Battery type) around 300 shots

3) Low Light/Night features (Must), Image Stabilization

4) 3 inch screen ( bigger screen)

5) >=4X optical zoom

6) Good after service support of the company (Probably Sony, Canon, Kodak etc)

7) HD video-recording >30 fps

8) Also if possible should be able to capture good images while in motion.

I went to a couple of retail stores to see some cameras

Saw :

Sony DSC W510, DSC W310, DSC W570,

Kodak EasyShare 550 (bt with AA batteries)

Not seen :

Canon Powershot A495 (Heard its nice)

FujiFilm AX250 (Heard it has best night capturing/Dim light features)

Could you kindly suggest me the best VFM for my requirements as i am very much confused.. All that i saw are good...

My budget is max 8K rs

Please help .. i need to buy asap..Going to Wembley for The champions league finals...

All the sony models are out of your budget. They are about 8.8k and the HD Recording one is 10k
Something other than SONY... ???

No idea, I don't have that much knowledge in cameras. I just suggested from my homework that I did before buying mine.

May be Gaurish / DarkAngel can help better in this matter.

Ok with a lot of efforts & mental agony, i found a website where i can compare... i finally narrowed down to 4

Comparison of 4 cameras::::: PLS SUGGEST

I would be buying 1 out of them...

Can someone suggest which one to go 4... i can compromise on HD part 7 slightly increase the budget by 1 K

Guys i am thinking of buying the S4000 Nikon Coolpix.. Just wanted to know that there arent any major "Cons" in it na??

Finally Bought the Nikon S4000 for 7500/- 2 years warranty on ebay .. After a long argument with the mind... :) Must say i love the camera its very good & VFM.. !! and worth the mental agony i went through. The photos below are taken from my LG Cookie 3.2 MP camera.

As per the usage & experience as per me, Here are the pros & Cons:-

Pros:-

1) Excellent Fantastic Mindblowing Image Quality in all resolutions (Trust me it is better than SONY CYBERSHOT & Panasonic Lumix, Only Canon is better than this)

2) Very good IS, based on the price.(Worth it)

3) Battery life is excellent.

4) Night mode is also fantastic & the flash has a very good range.

5) Comes with a lot of accesories..

6) is TOuchScreen & the touch is fantastic if u do it with the stick provided & quite good with hand.

7) Very big screen, And very light weight & thin

Cons:-

1) HD recording is not promising enough. Its good but could have been better

2) IF Optical IS was there, then could have been ultimate.

3) Menu & functions are difficult to understand.

4) U cant delete multiple images in one go from the camera

5) When connected to PC, it can be accessed via the software only.. If u want to read the memory card. But we also can see the Windows Camera drive getting loaded once cam is conneceted. Not sure whether i know this much.

6) No Sweep Panorama

Overall 8.5/10 & very satisfying.. Got what i was looking for.

Here are the snapshots

Big Screen(3 inch wide)

The Camera with Pouch

Entire Kit

Lens

Hope this helps !!!!
