Digital camera under 7Kmax.(after 1000bucks off via ebay so 8K).

I'm looking for a digital camera for under 7K(the lower the better)(after 1000bucks off via ebay:hap2: so 8K).

I'd be using it only on occasional trips/parties 4-5 times a month. This will be my first camera so it has to work for at least three years straight.

I like the picture to be crisp and have lots of colors(vivid). Macro shots should be good.

I'm thinking of getting :
PANASONIC LUMIX LZ10 w/ 3yrs wrrty.+2gbCard +pouch. for 6K via ebay.
OR
CANON POWERSHOT A1000 IS w/1yrs wrrty.+2gbCard+pouch. for 7K via ebay.
