Is there a way to disable disk check on boot in XP? I have disk checking software and XP annoys me everytime I reboot. I don't have time for it to run when I am rebooting.
I would not recommend that you stop that, sometimes if a pc cold boots from windows then files which were loaded in ram in windows (especially in XP/2000), files such as settings files for say utorrent and mozilla get corrupted because they couldnt be saved properly resulting in errors
besides chkdsk only runs when the system didnt properly shutdown so it shouldnt be much of a problem
however if you still want to stop it from running then use chkntfs command
go to run
type "cmd"
in the console type as below for the drive u want to stop chkntfs on
