Distortion coming from both speakers powered by an AIWA music system

Hello, I have got a aiwa music system(amp with cd player/cassette player plus 2 speakers, I use it with my tv. Around 1 month ago, sound became distorted, a humming sound started to come from both speakers. I would have laid the blame on speakers but since both speakers had this issue at same time, I am thinking that amp is to be blamed here. This happened when there were rainfalls and although the whole thing is far from any direct exposure to moisture, I am inclined to believe that moisture may have some part to play here.
So my question is, should I pull the amp apart, blow some air on it and then reconnect and see what happens or directly take it to electronics shop?
Thanks in advance for your time and input!

if it is a problem with dust then cleaning helps.

in general, could be a problem with capacitors / chips ... if so needs a reliable technician

I will try cleaning first. Hopefully that should do it, but if not then off to repair shop it will go.
