Sometime during the lockdown, I became interested in DIY stuff. I got a lot of hardware and tried doing some stuff. Eventually I figured it was too difficult for me since I had very little understanding of electronics. I was spending too much time making nothing. I soon got bored. I thought I'll pick it up again some time later. But now I feel I moved on to other things and I might never go back to this hobby. Since I have lots of useful stuff, I didn't want them to go to waste, so I am listing them here. Most of these things are practically unused. I might have used the Arduino for like 6 hours max. I did spend another 8-10 hours just connecting stuff to the breadboard. That's the sum total amount of time I have spend with all the stuff listed here.

Some points about the products:
  1. Most of the products were bought from Robu. Since they were largely purchased during Covid times, prices of some items have come down since I bought. I have priced them according to the current prices (about 2/3rd of the current price). However, some items have also become more expensive, and I have priced them accordingly as well, to make up for some of the loss.
  2. I would like to sell the sensor kit and component kit as a whole. Not only because it is too much hassle to split it, but also because when it arrived, it was in a jumble. The sensors weren't labelled and they didn't match the order in the picture. So if I split them, I might end up sending the wrong stuff to people.
  3. Since most of these stuff are quite cheap, do not ask for one or two items. I am not going to go through the hassle of packing and shipping items worth Rs. 70.
  4. If your order total is greater than Rs. 500, I will bear 50% of the shipping cost. For orders below 500, shipping is on you.
  5. If you are a student, or want to buy this for a student (who will use it for their studies), let me know and I'll considering reducing the prices somewhat. I won't ask for proof, it will be trust based transaction.
  6. Since it took time to organise all the stuff, the date on some of these is slightly old. Please excuse that as I can't take all the pictures again.
  7. The resistors can either be bought as a whole or 50 pieces of each for Rs. 60 (Rs. 20 for the effort of splitting :D). Don't ask only for 22 Ohm resistor, I won't be able to do that since I can't identify them myself and the idiots at Robu sent them in unmarked packs.
  8. Please be patient about shipping, depending on the responses I get here, it might take a couple of days to organise, pack, and ship everything.
  9. There's no warranty on any of the stuff. To the best of my knowledge, everything is in working condition. If something doesn't work after you receive it, please hit me up with a DM and let me know before posting in the thread.
  10. For Pico, Arduino, and Grove 4-digit display, there will be a 7-day testing warranty from my side conditional on them not being fried when they stop working. I will not entertain any claims after this period.
  11. Batteries can't be shipped, most couriers don't allow them. They are only for personal pickup.
Please DM me if you need more information about any of the products.
I'll try to maintain a running stock on the following link since this post will become non editable in a few hours:

Edit: Please try not to negotiate on prices since there are quite a few items, all of them quite cheap, and I've already offered to bear 50% shipping above 500.

Bump..

If you know any electronics engineering students who might need these, please put me in touch with them. Don't want these to go to waste.

Anyone else interested in anything? I see a lot of DIY enthusiasts around.
No buyers for the Pibox Raspberry Pi case? It's pretty good

Man, it sucks that you're giving up on this. I was curious about the list, not planning to buy anything BUT wanted to try and nudge you back into the hobby. Keep those resistors, they'll always be useful in some way and you don't really save much by selling them. At the very least you could use them to repair things.

So, I'm curious what happend?

Actually, my primary intent was not to recover the cost, although that was there. I primarily want to free up some space.

As to what happened, first is it was too time consuming for very little reward. And I felt like I'd have to spend a lot of time learning to reach a stage where the effort would be rewarding. I don't have a science education and some of the things were very difficult for me to understand because of a lack of background in the subject matter.

Second was space constraints. If I'm going to be building something, I can't spread out and fold everything every time I sit with it. I need to leave some stuff lying around, partially built so that I can pick up where I left. But I don't have that kind of space in the house.

Lastly, I realised that I enjoyed working with Python more. I wanted to work on some open source projects. I find this more satisfying since I feel like I'm making a contribution to something, no matter how small. The DIY stuff didn't offer me that satisfaction.
