Hi, trying to make an LED bottle like this one. How do I put an LED inside, and what do I use to do it?
Basically
1) What LED product should i use?
2) How do I wire it?
3) Will it be durable?
4) any miscellaneous help on say the colors(acrylic?)

Need it as low cost as possible. Will procure the absolut bottle from someone in a day. Also any idea how to remove the printed stuff?
Its meant as a gift for someone. Will post back the whole experience once done

colours - glass colours, they will give the effect seen above.
LED, maybe you need a CREE or similar light which can run off button cell, make sure to have a switch in the top to turn on and off.

For lowest cost - you get those cheap 10 rupee led flash lights in stores. Get one. It has two 3v led in series without any resistance. They are run off 3 button cells. If you open it you can easily figure how to wire it in a bottle cap.

Holyshit thats a nice idea.
How long will they last off a 3 cell button battery? And if I want to get them to plug them in a socket or perhaps bigger power source?

They last a long time - around a month or so (if not kept switched on constantly). You can't put AC source directly to the led's. You would need to convert it to DC 5v or so first. Plus you will need a resistance in series connected to the led's so they don't burn when power input is high.

Edit: There is another completely new solution if you want to run it off AC directly. In electrical shops you can get those small lights that you use in a line tester for around 5 or 10 rupees. I mean the tester which looks like a screwdriver with light in it. That bulb comes with its own 1Mohm resistance and runs directly off AC power. You will get only orange or red colour from this light though.
