Forum Feedback Do you want 'New Posts' to not show 'New Trades' from market?

AS the title says, we have had a lot of endless discussions in feedback regarding this. Here is a voting poll.
If you agree than this will be done

1) New Posts will not show Market threads
2) A "New Trades" link will be placed in the navbar that on clicking will return, just the market threads.
^^ If you want the above to happen, please vote Yes

If you are instead happy with the current system, which returns threads from all sections of the forums, then please vote NO
 
The fuss in the market was more about market link moving out of the main forums + the interface for markets changing.
 
I know what the fuss there is about.

There thread is to avoid another fuss. So that members can themselves decide what they want from the "New Posts" link click
 
^^ A better option would be what Safin has suggested.. Two links - One for New posts and the other New Trades.

I dunno why this poll should exist, if there is a possibility to have two buttons separately. Why would anyone want new trades to be mixed along with other posts, when he can get them neatly separated from the rest of the clutter..?
 
Just when we had convinced him to implement separate buttons :lol:

All the fuss about market has made him start this poll I think. Anyway I dont see why it should not be implemented even if this poll goes the other way. Why should we make our 'tech' members suffer and go through the effort of setting the filter manually. In fact we should 'help' our 'market' members and let them participate in the market i nfull swing.

I had proposed this idea considering the outbreak of market section threads. And regardless of who posts here and polls against it, I dont want the focus of TE to get diluted by a tiny button. It should be done!

If it is not done. Then the next logical thing would be to make the 'newpost' search default for only core sections. Those who want to see the market section threads as well should set it manually. They should be making the effort to change the settings. Not everyone else.

I think that hack was implemented here before. It can be looked at as an alternative to two separate buttons. BUT the default option should include only the core sections. The users who want market to be included should select it from usercp options.

Well.. with a separate new trades button, I don't see how you'll miss a good sale..
