CPU/Mobo Does my CPU need upgrading? Any recommendations?

I have recently bought a GTX 770 GPU and have an AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor. Will my CPU hinder the GTX's performance? If so would an AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor work well with the GTX?

Proccy may bottleneck. 8350 is one of AMD's flagship. If your wallet does not complain, upgrade to 8350. What is your mobo, btw?[DOUBLEPOST=1397302547][/DOUBLEPOST]Btw, FX4100 is not a quadcore but duel. It is AMD's style of hyperthreading. Two cores, four threads.

What do you mean by it is one of AMD's flagships? And my motherboard is a m5a78l-m lx v2. And what do you mean by Proccy. Sorry new to the whole pc terms.

For the board you have, try to find a Fx6300. Flagship implies to high end and proccy means 'cpu'. All the best !

At the moment I have an AMD FX6300 Black Edition CPU and was wondering if it would run well or bottleneck a GTX 770 from NVIDIA

May bottleneck slightly with some certain games, but you can overclock the fx6300.

Just buy this AMD FX6300-7700, Gigabyte 970A-DS3P-5800. Its enough.
