Storage Solutions Does non-server motherboard support a SAS Controller card?

I would like to buy a SAS controller card for the new pc I am planning to purchase.
I have a SAS LTO Tape drive which I like to use with it.

Short answer, yes, Long answer, yes. But in a PC, go for a cheaper card please, since its only a tape drive you are looking to connect.

If you are looking to connect HDD's, you should invest in a card with battery backup, else all that expansion can and will crumble into 0's and 1's.
