Storage Solutions does p4 support 500gb and 1 tb hdd

recently hdd of my dad s pc broke down
the engineer told that in my 6 year old p4 mobo 500gb or greater hdd wont support
but i said that since the mobo has ide and sata port it will surely support
was the repair guy telling truth or did he say so to earn more profits

It will support a 500GB or 1TB without problems. Check my Signature if you don't believe it.

It would also be better if you can post your config here to get it clarified.

surely it works, i have seen sevral of my friends's comuters using 2 500gn hdds in a P4 PC.
