Budget 90k+ Doubts on this upgrade path

Hi guys,
Back for a bit after a hiatus on some upgrade advice.
Rig is a Ryzen 3700x on an X570 Crosshair Hero + 32GB RAM.
Primary intent is gaming. GPU is an RTX4080. No plan to change that till Sep'26.
Idea is to go for a 7800x3d CPU.
Confusion points:
> Heard a lot about AMD X670 issues especially with x3d CPUs. Is this still an issue?
> X870E is out soon. I also read about basically no changes, apart from USB 4. Would it be worth it for improved stability or generational advancements to the ecosystem?
> Wait for an 9xxx series x3d?
> 16GBx2 DDR5 is fine, or would I benefit at all with 32GBx2 (assuming I move to a 4K res, currently on 2K)?
> Stick with X570 and move to an a 5800x3d?

Appreciate any experiences or 'gyaan'/links.

why going for a 4080 when 50xx series will release in 5-6 months? better to wait till then, since you'll either be able to get the latest tech or get the 4080 for even cheaper

GPU 'is' an RTX4080 means I already own one. Purchased in July 2023.
I will not upgrade to anything - 5080, 6080 till at least Sep. 26.

This is most VFM solution. AFAIK, it has reduced to attractive price point as well. I remember HardwareUnbox making a video in which slide at that time compared Ryzen 100, 2000,3000 and 5000 series on RTX 3090 @1440p highest settings. Difference from 3000 series to 5000 series alone was about 6%. There was negligible difference between CPU series when he compared it on RTX 3070.

So with 4080 being 20%-ish faster than 3090 at 1440p and with X3D proccy, you should see noticeable improvements.

X670/B650 issues with X3D chips have been largely ironed out.

If you're going to game at 4K, the 5800X3D will serve you well. Although, I would recommend getting the 5700X3D, as the 5800X3D is still grossly overpriced in India.

AM4 is still pretty good and AMD is still releasing AM4 CPUs. get a 5700x/x3d/5800x/x3d and you should be set for 2-3 years. AM5 would have matured by then.

Definitely go for a 5700X3D. I upgraded to a 4070 Ti Super and the same CPU. For 1440p and above gaming the performance difference is almost nil.
