Enable list view for your Desktop

Was looking for something like this so my desktop wouldnt appear so cluttered. came across this app that enables list view for the desktop, so posting in case anyone else is interested

run desktopListView.exe to enable and unload.bat to return your desktop to normal

I use d-color xp.

Allows list view, small icons view and normal icons with labels on the sides instead of below them.
Can save and lock icon placement as well.

i never keep any icon on destop ..... nice tool tho'

I too have a clean desktop. Use the desktop toolbar in the taskbar.

BTW Sawmill are you able to change the text color in List view ? I am not able to do so.

Yeah working fine here, make sure you disable xp's inbuilt icon label transperancy as this util applies/needs it's own.

@QF - my desktop icon were changed to list view but now when i do unload all icons have dissappeared

Edit Added Later.
After a bit a struggling the icons are back.
never will try these softwares
