Exatt announces Unlimited Plans!

Exatt has announced new unlimited data transfer plans....but there is a catch the upload speeds are limited to 64k

i guess they started loosing business and decided to put out these plans...

ya all my friends gave up exatt when the cancelled the unlimited plans... exatt isnt worth it if there aint no unlimited plan!

hmmm.. but i guess i shall wait for the mtnl 256unlimited @ 1399. hmm. which is costly too anyways lol
 
But Exatt have shown their true colours.... No one can trust them again.....

As much as possible, all you guys should never go back to Exatt....
 
^^ Exatt has a lot of money.
You wont believe, the price at which they get damn Bandwidth from HK.
They have Backup Bandwidth from VSNL. So they never run out of banwidth.
I can tell you, the get 10 times the bandwitdh, what they provide, for 10 times lesser the price they charge. Damn money addicts.

what about upload speed? its adsl so it wont be same i think
 
I still would not go for Exatt.... who knows?? Suddenly after a few months, they will make that limited.

They have lost the goodwill(like they had any earlier :P )
 
^^ its already available in delhi.. :)

and the CC here said that it should be avialable here in may :).. i had called up to inquire as to whether they would cancel the request for a router and just provide the connection in a couple of days(for booking another 590Nu connection) but i`ll call em up tomm and get it cancelled hopefully :)

waiting with baited breath :) for the unlimited :)

also the download/upload speed would be 256/256 :) ...

but it wont be cheap guys... 1399 is only the cost of the connection ( i guess including the cost of the router) you`d have to pay service tax .. plus CST too nah? ?
 
Guys, hold on a sec......

its true, even if its ASDL, the uploads speeds are extremely low for a 256K download speed. Forexample, if you would like to use P2P, you would have to upload to get that U/D ratio up so that would be able to download at good rates.

Also, it really affects the ability to effectively use Internet. Because, when you are downloading, some part of the upsteam is being used to transmit ACK packets back. That + torrent, really saps your upsteam b/w which means you cant do anythign else on the internet w/o waiting 1 min for any page to open.

I am telling this from experience. Some time back, i was on a 1Mbps unlimited plan with a up-cap of 64Kbps. Short version: it was not preety. I couldnt use my max download speed as the 64Kbps paltry upstream speed wasnt enough for uploading + acknoledgement packets.

So better watch out. However, these plans are excellent for leeching of RAPID share or such. So a little use of brain will prove fruitful.
 
wonder how much is the upload speed for 2 mbps night unlimited connection..its expensive..but boy if Exatt was available i woudl jump on it!

that's pretty crappy when compared to airtel's offering :P i pay 1150 all taxes inclusive + router rent for 256kbps during the day and 512 from 11pm to 8am (both download and upload). Karan is right. a 64kbit upload is useless for torrents and for gaming.
 
@muttster.. even for the 2 mbps they got pretty low uploads! which suck balls... my friend has the 2 mbps connection and his upload was max 10KB :(. which isnt even 128Kbps!!!

that`s the reason i didnt take thier night plan of 1mpbs either..though its available in my area :)
 
his download speed was approx 150KB.. but according to him he doesnt usually get even that much! lol

when he contacted exatt they said that they are experiencing some problems due to which the low speeds! lol suckers!!!
 
^^ not really.. just better pricing....... but poor availability.. even after 2 years airtel wont be available in my area.. i can say this for sure!
