Storage Solutions External HDD For 4K.

Hi,

Suggest a good, reliable, fast external HDD below 4K(around 3.5K), will use it primarily for storing Movies and Audio.
 
Choose a WD / Seagate HDD from ebay within 5K, use the 20% off Citi coupon to get 1K off... At current prices, you can get a 500GB 2.5" drive for about 3.7K. If you can stretch your budget a bit, a 1TB 3.5" HDD will set you back by about 4.5K. Check the ebay coupon thread for more details on the Citi offer.
 
Get WD 1tb external 3.5inch hdd if u just want to store data without much portability else WD Passport 500gb (which I got) if u need portability
 
How important is the data for you

If you cant afford to lose data, invest in a WD Green 1TB with a usb/esata casing
Comes around 5500 with all coupons applied

Even if the interface goes bad, u an directly plugin the HDD and get the data
But for external enclosed hdd, you void warranty when u open the casing
