Storage Solutions External HDD problem? help plz

Hi guys!

I had my friends 1tb seagate external hdd with me...2 days back, there was a power fluctuation when i was playing a movie from that hdd...and after that it tells me the drive is not readable anymore....anyway to fix it backto normal? i tried recover my files software and after searching for like 5-6 hrs it gave me list of everything i had, but whenever i tried to recover any files it gave me a floating point division by zero error or something...didn't try anything else after that..any thoughts?

I think this might be a MBR gone bad or damaged or something..anyway i can get it safely back?

Any help would be appreciated.

Update: since a forum member asked me the solution I came up with. I used Acronis Disk Director suite, there it has a option called fix MBR and that did the trick for me. Would be glad if it works out for anyone else here too. A update would be nice if it works for you or if it did not.
