Hi,

I was wondering if this is at all possible.

Like we have a img tag for images, would it be possible for a video tag as well, so that hosted video can be linked.

This would enable forum members to watch the video without having to navigate away from TE or even the thread.

I was wondering if there are any free players that can be used for displaying content like this in our posts.

for example

www.x123.com/files/howtooverclock.wmv

or

www.x123.com/files/howtooverclock.mpg

would be used on the forum as

[vid]www.x123.com/files/howtooverclock.mpg[/vid]

and it should come up as a rudimentary player with a screen so that we should be able to play, and move on.

What do you think, is such a feature possible with vbulletin?

^^ it would seem to me that you would just have to upload the video to youtube to be able to post it
