Hey guys. I took an AIRTEL 512 KBPS Unlimited connection at the beginning of this month.
AIRTEL's 512 KBPS UL comes for Rs. 1,499/per month.
Well, for the first few days, I got an excellent 64 KB/s max download speed. I checked "SpeedTest." I had a 512 KBPS connection - confirmed.
I'm aware of "FAIR USAGE POLICY" and my limit before speed throttling is 25GB I guess. So, I think I'd downloaded about 5GB till last week(saturday last week).
Then I saw my download speeds fall to a MAX of 32KB/s. This continued for 5 days. First I thought it was a technical glitch, but the issue is still persisting. I checked "SpeedTest" and it confirmed my horrors, my connection had been axed to a 256 KBPS connection.
Now, I called AIRTEL up a few days ago(3). I spoke to about 2 people, and this is what they told me.
- (AIRTEL)"Sir, for Rs. 1,499, we have no 512 KBPS connection. There is only 256 KBPS UNLIMITED Connection, which COMES FOR RS. 1,499!!!!!!!!!!"
-(ME)"Then how come I got 512 KBPS on SPEEDTEST huh?"
- (AIRTEL)"Sir, that must have been a technical glitch."

From there on, my father took over
. But the result was =0-ZERO-0
