I live in New Delhi.I have decided a computer configuration primarily meant for gaming and I want an Amd 64 system. Please give the prices and suggest suitable alternatives.

Amd 3400 754(newcastle)
For todays games which would perform better Amd 3400 754 newcastle with Asus K8N or Amd 3200 939 newcastle/winchester with Asus A8V dlx.
I think for games winchester in 3000 and 3200 perform lower than 939 newcastles however this is not true with 3500.

You may wanna get a 160 GB hdd, 80 is too less for gaming....
Get Transcend instead of Kingston Value.
Get Logitech MX 310 for gaming awesome mouse.

get transcend...fmr ur dealer...shud be available easily..in mumbai...3k..

well stock speeds..3400 is better....
oc 3200 939...both gud for gaming
but 939 better cuz future upgradibility..nd dual channel

Some PS1 and N64 games

Around 1gig on C: and 750megs on D: is free.
GB's worth of games files, downloads, wallpapers, skins & themes, photographs residing on the same drive as well.
No music though.
 
80gb is more than enough
Let there be 3partitions each of 25gb

Let xp be installed on one along with keeping some basic things here and there ,
total 5gb

Install most software + all hd files like music etc
10gb

Install games
10-15gb max

total 30-40gb peak
